We love telling stories that move people emotionally, creatively, and on this occasion, literally. When SHÈN Presents asked us to create a new video for Franky Wah’s latest track Make Me Feel Free, we didn’t need a second ask.
After working with Franky on the hazey Stolen Glances (ft. Låpsley) in summer 2024, we wanted to switch up the storytelling, still cinematic, but more grounded. Make Me Feel Free had a deep, euphoric pull, perfect for a story about finding your way back to someone.
We had two days, fifteen locations, and a sold out show in Hackney. No pressure.

Brief
01
Tell a story that sticks
The track has a strong emotional arc so we leaned into that. From first glance to final reunion, we built a narrative that mirrors the tension and release baked into the music.
02
Move fast, shoot slow
Two days, across London, with multiple scenes and live performance coverage. It meant being tight on prep, loose on set, and totally locked in as a team.
03
Keep it Franky
Visually and emotionally, it had to feel like Franky. We worked closely with SHÈN to make sure the tone matched his evolving sound; clean, emotive, and grounded in real moments.

Approach
01
Narrative-driven, non-linear
We open on a record shop with two people sharing one moment. We move through fragments of their relationship; the highs, the lows, and everything in between. Until they find each other again in a crowd and share a look that says everything.
02
Keep it real
Handheld cameras, natural light, real atmosphere. We wanted it to feel lived in and not staged. Every shot was designed to feel close, honest, and quietly cinematic.
03
Dynamic Filming
The final scene was shot during one of Franky’s live sets. One camera, deep in the crowd, catching the moment our two characters lock eyes again.

Outcome
This was our second collaboration with Franky and SHÈN and it felt like a step forward. Same trust, bigger ambition. We’re proud of how the video balances scale with subtlety, and builds on Franky's vision.

Final Thoughts
Make Me Feel Free is a story told in fragments and emotional snapshots that build to something quietly powerful. Shot across two intense days, it’s exactly the kind of project we live for: intimate, bold, and full of heart.
