Year
2026

Capsule Hotel is an independent hospitality group making city stays affordable through space-smart accommodation. Operating from Switzerland to Copenhagen, the company prove that affordable luxury and ecological responsibility can coexist.

As momentum grows, it became clear the group needed more than just a website. They needed an immersive digital home that matched the energy, design-led quality, and scale of their physical impact

Our work has included a complete digital ecosystem for:

Site Consolidation: Merging three legacy websites into one high-performance, scalable domain.

System Integration: Deep-level connectivity with Mews PMS, Triptease, and Bookboost to streamline the guest journey.

Swiss Capsule™: A dedicated B2B platform for their modular pod sales and technical specifications.

Capsule Insights: An integrated hosting environment for their industry-leading hospitality podcast

Brief

01

Consolidating a Fragmented Presence

Capsule Hotel reached out to us with a complex challenge, their digital presence was split across three fragmented websites, which was actively damaging their domain authority. They needed to consolidate these into a single, unified, and scalable platform that could handle their current five locations and future global expansion effortlessly.

02

Driving Direct Revenue

The primary KPI was clear: increase direct bookings from 24% to a target of 30%. They briefed us with an important clarification that helped us understand that what was really needed was a mobile-first experience with clearer CTAs and a restructured booking journey to reduce reliance on third-party involvement.

03

A Scalable Content Engine

Beyond simple room bookings, the new site needed to act as a revenue engine for their B2B arm – Swiss Capsule™, and support their community-building efforts through podcasts and local city guides.

Our Approach

01

System Integration & Performance

We pitched a complete rebuild on a WordPress + Elementor framework to create a balance of high-end design flexibility and ease of use for the Capsule team. Central to the project was the seamless integration of tech-stacks to ensure a frictionless booking funnel from landing page to check-out.

02

Modular CMS Design

Working with SoPhat Studio, we developed a design system consisting of more than 30 key templates, from custom post types for hotels, to city guides - allowing the Capsule team to manage diverse content – all within a single, intuitive backend. This created an immersive experience that felt alive rather than static.

03

Multilingual Scale

To support their international audience, we implemented a full multilingual build (EN / DE / FR). This wasn’t just a translation layer, it was also an SEO-ready structure with clean URLs and schema designed to capture high-intent destination searches in multiple languages.

Challenges

01

Balancing Brand Personas

Capsule Hotels do not call themselves a chain, they pride themselves on being, at their core, a group of people who care deeply about design and quality. We had to ensure the website reflected this identity; where design was sophisticated enough for corporate nomads, yet energetic enough for young adventurers – making sure that we avoided leaning into the party-hostel trope of their competitors.

02

Navigating Complexity

Capsule hotel trusted us to migrate years of fragmented blog and guide content without harming existing SEO performance. We tackled this by mapping a comprehensive redirect strategy for all 404 pages and building a unified domain authority that competitors could no longer overlook. This created an immersive experience that felt alive rather than static.

03

Eliminating the Data Blindspot

A major obstacle for the group was a lack of actionable insight; their previous tracking was limited, making it nearly impossible to pinpoint where guests were dropping off in the booking funnel or to accurately measure marketing ROI. To achieve the 30% direct booking target, we had to engineer a flawless technical bridge between the user experience and a complex back-end stack—integrating Mews PMS, Triptease, and Pipedrive. By implementing 100% booking tracking in GA4, we transformed the website from a brand touchpoint into a transparent revenue engine, giving the team the data-driven confidence to scale their European presence

Conclusion

Capsule Hotel Group is more than a hospitality brand –  it’s a movement built on design-led efficiency, community, and making the world’s most vibrant cities accessible to all. By supporting the group in consolidating their fragmented digital presence into a single, scalable platform, we helped create a digital home that matches the meticulous quality and character of their physical pods.
